Steve! This is lee from The Star. The University of North Texas music program is right down the road in Denton. It's the biggest music school in the North America. Ed Soph, an amazing jazz drummer, teaches there. Call the university music school and ask to speak to someone in the jazz department, and explain your problem. If you can talk with Ed Soph, even better. You can drop my name (I babysat his son years and years ago, tell them i'm a former one o'clock band member living in Kansas City.) Tell them your story and ask them if they can help you find a set to play on - FAST.
