Well, I have tried to enter into the blog for two days. The power on the bus does not work; it's getting fixed today.
First show was nuts. The Knitting Factory is run terribly. It's like the inmates are running the prison. Security was poor, and you have to watch all you gear all the time. We found several undesirables back stage and had to eject them.
The show was opened by The Sheds, great band, all under 16 years for age and brilliant musicians.
We came on and within 7 songs the audience was going at it. Huge fights broke out between rival LA gangs. All the fights were started by the girls, Grace watched them telling their boyfriends who to fight with. By the third fight, which I have on video, the club had had enough. They pulled the show and the was that. Thirteen years I have waited to play in the band again and it was over in about 30 minutes. So many great friends showed up, cheers.

Sorry the Knitting Factory show was so bad. We've been several times and not seen behavior like that--shows no class and was kind of dangerous for those of us down on the floor!
My son plays trumpet for the Sheds- cheers for the comments- they are much appreciated.
Good Luck on the rest of the tour. Let us know when you're back in LA!
